Why Chiropractic

Dr. Kari

Dr. Kari was an active child growing up and often wound up in the hospital with broken bones, and illnesses, so she grew to associate visiting the doctor with pain and poor experiences. Through these experiences, Dr. Kari knew she wanted to pursue the medical field to change this perception and focus on health and wellness, not just sickness and pain. Her path to chiropractic began in her middle school years as she started seeing her local chiropractor for injuries received while playing sports and general teenage growing pains. Dr. Kari continued receiving chiropractic care while playing college golf at UW-Whitewater after she realized she performed much better while under care. She followed the career choice to become a chiropractor to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where she quickly realized her passion was working with children and families.

A Passion for Helping Children

While at Palmer, Dr. Kari realized the importance of children being under chiropractic care. Frequent ear infections defined Dr. Kari’s first year of life and lead to her getting tubes in her ears around the age of one. Her parents never knew there were better, less invasive options for their young child, such as chiropractic care.

Through all of her experiences growing up and what she learned at chiropractic school, Dr. Kari knew it was her responsibility to help educate parents on all the options for their kids. This commitment to families and children led to her pursing further training in caring for pediatrics after graduation and eventually brought her here to River Shores Chiropractic.

Dr. Kari is grateful to have this opportunity, and knows she was led to the West Bend community to help bring hope and healing to families with Dr. Krysti and Dr. Andrea.

Outside of the Office

In Dr. Kari’s free time you can find her trying out new restaurants, enjoying the outdoors or planning her next travel adventure. Be sure to ask her about how chiropractic and her love for travel led her to Haiti, where she cared for patients in a clinic in the mountains!
